Mr. Ball is a first rate rabble-rouser.
"Roger Ball was fired by the Guv because he's an arrogant, irresponsible zealot. After several years, his talent for prevarication and distortion finally did him in. The man is a third rate intellect--but a first rate rabble-rouser--and the Tribune has swallowed his baloney hook, line and sinker. Mr. Ball's obsession ... resembles Ahab's thing for the Great White Whale--more than a little unbalanced. Questar's rates are in fact consistently among the lowest in the nation, little or no thanks to Roger Ball & Co. (If you don't believe it, you really need to get out more. Try living somehere else for a winter.) As for those who are thinking of giving Mr. Ball their hard-earned money, that's probably why this absurd "puff piece" was published in the first place--free advertising. You'd be better off remembering what your Mommy told you about about "a fool and his money." Personally, I'd give mine to the Tooth Fairy before I'd give it to Roger Ball."
You could substitute "Jay Ball" for "Roger Ball" and it would be an accurate description of him as well.
